Important Notice

Certain products offered by Pepéra Labs Inc. (“Pepéra Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may be supplied solely for legitimate laboratory, analytical, educational, or scientific research purposes, where such sale and use are permitted by applicable law.

Unless expressly stated otherwise and supported by the applicable regulatory authorization, products designated for research use are:

NOT FOR HUMAN OR VETERINARY THERAPEUTIC USE
NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, MITIGATE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE OR MEDICAL CONDITION

A “Research Use Only,” “Laboratory Use Only,” “Not for Human Consumption,” or similar designation does not mean that a product is exempt from applicable Canadian laws or Health Canada regulatory requirements.

Pepéra Labs does not represent that applying such a designation makes an otherwise unauthorized product legal to manufacture, advertise, sell, distribute, possess, import, or use.

1. Intended Use

Products specifically identified by Pepéra Labs as research-use products are intended only for lawful activities such as:

• Laboratory research;
• Analytical testing;
• Chemical or biochemical analysis;
• Method development;
• Instrument calibration or validation, where appropriate;
• Educational laboratory work;
• Scientific investigation; and
• Other legitimate non-clinical research activities permitted by applicable law.

Product availability does not constitute authorization for any particular use.

The purchaser is responsible for determining whether the purchase, possession, handling, storage, transfer, and intended use of a product are lawful in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.

2. Not for Human Use

Research-use products must not be:

• Consumed by humans;
• Injected into humans;
• Administered orally, topically, nasally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously, or through any other route to humans;
• Used as ingredients in products intended for human consumption;
• Used for self-experimentation;
• Used for bodybuilding, weight management, anti-aging, wellness, performance enhancement, or other personal purposes;
• Used to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease;
• Used as a substitute for an authorized prescription drug or other authorized health product; or
• Used in any manner inconsistent with applicable Canadian law.

Products designated for research use are not represented by Pepéra Labs as medicines, prescription drugs, dietary supplements, natural health products, cosmetics, food products, or products intended for personal use unless expressly identified and legally authorized as such.

3. Not for Veterinary or Animal Therapeutic Use

Unless expressly authorized and identified for such use, research products are not intended for:

• Veterinary treatment;
• Animal diagnosis;
• Animal therapeutic use;
• Administration to household pets;
• Administration to livestock; or
• Treatment or prevention of disease in animals.

Scientific use involving laboratory research must comply with all applicable laws, institutional requirements, ethical requirements, and research protocols.

4. No Medical Advice

Nothing on the Pepéra Labs website constitutes:

• Medical advice;
• Healthcare advice;
• Pharmaceutical advice;
• Veterinary advice;
• A prescription;
• A recommendation for treatment; or
• Instructions for personal administration or dosing.

Information provided on our website, including product names, chemical information, analytical information, laboratory reports, certificates, descriptions, articles, or educational content, is provided for general informational or research purposes only.

No information provided by Pepéra Labs should be relied upon to make decisions concerning personal medical treatment.

Individuals seeking medical advice should consult an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

5. Regulatory Status

Pepéra Labs recognizes that peptides and related compounds may be regulated differently depending on:

• The specific substance;
• Concentration;
• Dosage form;
• Route of administration;
• Packaging;
• Representations made concerning the product;
• Intended use; and
• Applicable federal or provincial legislation.

Some peptide substances may be regulated as prescription drugs or otherwise subject to requirements administered by Health Canada.

A product’s appearance on the Pepéra Labs website should not be interpreted as a statement that the product has been authorized by Health Canada for therapeutic or personal use.

Where Canadian law requires Health Canada authorization, licensing, registration, a Drug Identification Number (DIN), prescription status, or another regulatory authorization, those requirements apply notwithstanding any research-use designation.

Pepéra Labs reserves the right to:

• Refuse or cancel an order;
• Remove a product from sale;
• Restrict shipping destinations;
• Request information regarding the purchaser or proposed transaction; or
• Suspend availability of a product

where reasonably necessary for regulatory, legal, safety, or compliance reasons.

6. Purchaser Responsibilities

By purchasing a product designated for research use, the purchaser represents that they will:

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
• Review all product information before handling the product;
• Use appropriate laboratory procedures and safety practices;
• Maintain suitable storage and security;
• Prevent unauthorized access to the product;
• Dispose of materials in accordance with applicable requirements; and
• Not use the product for any unlawful purpose.

Purchasers are responsible for obtaining any licences, registrations, institutional approvals, permits, authorizations, or other approvals that may be required for their activities.

7. Purchaser Qualification

Pepéra Labs reserves the right, where appropriate, to request additional information before fulfilling an order.

This may include information reasonably necessary to determine:

• The identity of the purchaser;
• The nature of the purchasing organization;
• The intended commercial or research context;
• The shipping destination;
• Regulatory requirements associated with the transaction; or
• Whether Pepéra Labs can legally fulfill the order.

Pepéra Labs may refuse a transaction where the circumstances suggest that a research-use product may be purchased for an inappropriate, prohibited, therapeutic, personal, or otherwise unlawful purpose.

8. Product Information and Analytical Documentation

Where Pepéra Labs provides:

• Certificates of Analysis;
• Third-party laboratory results;
• Purity testing;
• Identity testing;
• Batch information; or
• Other analytical documentation,

such documentation relates only to the samples, batches, testing methodology, and conditions identified in the applicable report.

Laboratory documentation does not constitute Health Canada authorization and should not be interpreted as evidence that a product is approved for therapeutic or personal use.

Analytical purity and identity testing also do not independently establish that a substance is appropriate, safe, sterile, or authorized for administration to humans or animals.

9. Product Handling

Research materials should be handled only by individuals with appropriate knowledge, training, equipment, and facilities.

Purchasers should independently determine appropriate:

• Personal protective equipment;
• Laboratory controls;
• Handling procedures;
• Storage conditions;
• Spill procedures;
• Disposal methods; and
• Other safety measures

based on the specific substance and intended lawful research activity.

Pepéra Labs does not provide instructions for preparing, dosing, reconstituting, or administering research products for human or veterinary use.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Research-use products may not be purchased from Pepéra Labs for the purpose of:

• Human self-administration;
• Administration to another person;
• Unauthorized clinical treatment;
• Veterinary treatment unless legally authorized;
• Personal bodybuilding;
• Personal performance enhancement;
• Personal weight loss;
• Personal anti-aging or wellness purposes;
• Circumventing prescription requirements;
• Circumventing Health Canada authorization requirements;
• Misrepresenting an unauthorized product as an authorized medication; or
• Any activity prohibited by Canadian law.

Customers may not remove, alter, conceal, or misrepresent research-use warnings or product-identification information in a manner that creates a misleading impression about a product’s regulatory status or intended use.

11. No Regulatory Exemption Created

The terms:

“Research Use Only”
“For Laboratory Research Only”
“Not for Human Consumption”

are intended to communicate restrictions regarding Pepéra Labs’ stated intended use of applicable products.

They are not intended to create, and must not be interpreted as creating, an exemption from the Food and Drugs Act, its regulations, Health Canada requirements, or any other applicable law.

Where a product cannot legally be sold or distributed in Canada without authorization, research-use language does not override that requirement.

12. Compliance With Canadian Law

Pepéra Labs Inc. is based in:

Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Pepéra Labs intends to conduct its operations in accordance with applicable federal and provincial requirements.

We may modify product availability, website content, purchasing requirements, or these policies where necessary to respond to changes in legislation, regulatory guidance, enforcement activity, or other legal requirements.

13. Reporting Concerns

If you believe that:

• A Pepéra Labs product has been incorrectly described;
• Product information is inaccurate;
• A product has been damaged or compromised;
• An individual is attempting to purchase a product for prohibited use; or
• There is another product safety or compliance concern,

please contact us promptly.

14. Agreement

By ordering a product specifically designated Research Use Only, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this notice.

You further acknowledge that:

1. The product is not being represented to you by Pepéra Labs as approved for personal therapeutic use;
2. You will not rely on the “Research Use Only” designation as evidence that the transaction or intended use is exempt from applicable law;
3. You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your purchase and activities; and
4. Pepéra Labs may refuse or cancel an order where fulfillment would create a legal, regulatory, safety, or compliance concern.
